Unrestricted/Restricted
Narration can be unrestricted or restricted and can achieve powerful effects by manipulating the range of story information. Unrestricted narration is when the viewer knows more than the character which helps build suspense. Whereas restricted narration limits the viewer to what characters know, which helps create curiosity for the viewer and can lead to surprise.
